The Waterfront Project (WFP), a beacon of hope and support for those at risk of homelessness in Hudson County, is thrilled to announce the Jersey City Black Business Market event. Inspired by a deep-seated commitment to community empowerment and economic resilience, this special gathering, taking place on February 23rd at ANDCO, seeks to celebrate and elevate local Black entrepreneurs, artisans, creators, and chefs. In an era where supporting local and Black-owned businesses is more crucial than ever, WFP aims to create a vibrant marketplace that not only showcases the diverse talents within our community but also fosters meaningful connections between consumers and creators.
“At The Waterfront Project, we believe in the power of community and the critical role that small businesses play in the fabric of our society. This event is a celebration of the resilience, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit that thrive within Jersey City’s Black community. By bringing people together to support these incredible local businesses, we’re not just fostering economic growth; we’re strengthening the bonds that hold our community together,” says Carol Sainthilaire, Executive Director of The Waterfront Project.
By attending, participants will have the unique opportunity to discover a wide array of unique products and services, from fashion and beauty to food and art, all while enjoying a lively atmosphere filled with music and refreshments. This event is more than just a market; it’s a testament to what we can achieve when we come together to support one another.
Tickets are available for $8 in advance and $10 at the door, with all proceeds going directly to support WFP’s mission to prevent evictions and keep people housed. This initiative is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to the well-being and stability of our community members, providing comprehensive, multi-disciplinary services to those in need.
We invite you to join us in this celebration of culture, community, and commerce. Let’s come together to support the Jersey City Black Business Market and make a difference in the lives of many, one purchase at a time.
